Barstool Sports has interviewed former president Donald Trump before — and one of its podcasts will do so again.

Bussin’ With The Boys, the podcast co-hosted by ex-NFLers Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, announced that Trump would appear on their podcast this week. According to the announcement on X, the interview will focus on the story of Lou Gehrig and Wally Pipp.

While Dave Portnoy previously interviewed Trump and announced his support for the former president in the upcoming election, he was not involved in the interview. Barstool’s Dan “Big Cat” Katz made that clear when he was pestered in the replies about the company’s latest attempt to tackle politics.

Big Cat wrote that Portnoy isn’t Bussin’ and that he doesn’t give a “f*ck” about them interviewing Trump. He also noted that Pardon My Take has been offered to every political candidate but will never have any of them on because it’s his personal decision.

This is particularly notable since Katz was perturbed about not being consulted before Portnoy’s interview with Trump.

That doesn’t appear to be the case here, as he wrote, “Wished them luck when I was with them the day of the interview,” about Compton, Lewan and the rest of the Bussin’ With The Boys crew.

Back to BTWB, Trump has previously met the former Tennessee Titans offensive lineman at a UFC Fight and praised his podcast with Compton, calling it “great.”

Under the hood out now.

The interview, set to be released later this week, is the latest presidential candidate to appear on a sports media podcast. Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s All The Smoke landed an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris earlier this month, though several other options remain.

As there does for Trump, but first, he’ll discuss the intricacies of Lou Gehrig and Wally Pipp.
